I created a Python script to analyze forest road density within riparian buffers of the Nooksack river basin.  The GIS data produced by the script highlights areas where forest roads are near streams.  This data is important for quantifying the impacts of road run-off and sediment loading in the Nooksack River’s headwaters.  I created the map, below, to illustrate these findings.  Click on the map for a larger image.
