Food Access in Whatcom County, WA

In the spring of 2011, I conducted a study of food access in Whatcom County, Washington.  This was a volunteer project for Community to Community Development, a non-profit organization in Bellingham, as well as my capstone project for the GIS minor at Western Washington University.  I analyzed walking distances to stores selling an abundance of fresh produce and compared those distances to demographic data.  As part of the presentation portion of the project, I created a website that allows users to draw their own conclusions about food access in Whatcom County.
